Nominet's revised Dispute Resolution Service came into being on the 24th September 2001. The new service offers a quick, cost effective,

New SLD now available (.me.uk)
A new 'personal' Second Level Domain (SLD) .me.uk is now available. The Rules state that the .me.uk SLD is intended to provide a personal namespace within the .uk Top Level Domain. It is anticipated that registrants will be natural persons who have an association with the UK. However, any entity may register in the .me.uk SLD provided the registration complies with the Nominet UK terms and conditions, the Rules and the rules for the .me.uk SLD, in each case as amended from time to time. Internet Names Code of Practice
INCOP was set up by Nominet in March 2001 to research and
develop an Independent Code of Practice for Domain Name Registration. It is proving difficult to get a consensus from all concerned (Nominet Members, ISPs, ASPs and other Internet
Companies) but discussions are still taking place. Whilst there is no formal Code of Practice at present, Nominet Members are already bound by a strict TAG Holder Agreement and Nominet is
always prepared to listen to your grievances if you feel you are not getting the cooperation you need from you current Host or Domain Name Registrar. You can contact Nominet UK, Monday

New terms and conditions
Nominet is proposing to introduce new Rules for the UK Top Level
Domain and sub-domains. This is the first major overhaul of the Rules since Nominet started business in 1996.
The new Rules have been approved by Nominet's Policy Advisory
Board (The PAB). Nominet is now inviting comments from the public as part of an open consultation period that runs from 1 August - 1 September 2002.
Please note: it is a pre-requisite of domain name registration that
